Welcome to the Plant Ecology Group of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.
We belong to the Institute of Integrative Biology within the Department of Environmental Systems Science and are one of two groups formerly forming the Geobotanical Institute of the ETH.
Our work is concerned with the ecology of plants. Through basic and applied research and other activities, we aim to contribute to the improved management of the natural environment. In particular our work is directed at a better understanding of the problem of biological invasions, the conservation of species, and the sustainable management of ecosystems.
